Wind & Storm resistance

Hurricanes are more likely these days but needless to worry under Decra®. 160 km/h hurricane can come your way but Decra® extreme weather resistant roofs could resist even that!

Climate change may bring more often and more intense high winds. If you own a Decra® roof, then it’s needless to worry. Even a 160 km/h hurricane can come your way but Decra® extreme weather resistant roofs could cope with that!

Decra® lightweight steel tiles are nailed to the roof structure with multiple fasteners, predominantly at 90˚ to wind-lift forces, making them highly secure in high winds. The majority of clay or concrete tiles are not fastened directly to the roof framework. Because Decra® interlocking steel tiles are fixed horizontally, each with eight separate fasteners, wind shear is virtually eliminated. Most other roofing products relay on vertical fixing methods that are prone to lifting in high winds.

That is the reason that Decra® roofs are more secure in high winds than vertically fixed traditional alternatives.

We have heard stories from all over the world where Decra® roofs have protected buildings against extraordinary high winds, even hurricanes.

Would you like to have your family in safety even during fierce storms?
